You spend time in a ship fighting against other ships, just like in a space simulation. You build your vessel from different parts. This game is fun, but you have to know the rules if you want to play.

This game is the only one on the list that can be played in VR, and there is a story as part of the game. While it’s not the most catching story, it makes sense once you play it. It’s also quite engaging. The strategy game is about fighting and conquering other territories, and it is the only way to master the game. The empire-building elements are minimal: you can conquer territories and construct buildings, but empire management is essential. It is an excellent distraction from the battles you fight in your spaceship.

Unlike the other games on this list, I’m not tempted to play again. Worth it. I played the entire game for 50 hours.
